About Mall Reborn

An independent, free tracker of what happens to malls and big-box retail in New Jersey and the Northeast.

Methodology

• Public sources only. Every project cites at least one public URL: municipal agendas, resolutions and ordinances, developer press releases, and news reporting.
• No guessing. If a figure isn't in a public source, we show it as Not public yet.
• Stages reflect the latest public action (redevelopment plan, agreement, board approval, construction, opening). For filtering, detailed stages are grouped into broad buckets.
• Backfill Board statuses are summarized from the cited source and may lag reality; check the source link.
• Dates show when each record was last reviewed.

Independence

Mall Reborn is editorially independent. Sponsorships, when offered, are clearly labeled and never affect coverage.
